I designed Kliniki Yangu, an independent prototype for pregnant women in Kenya who want support with phone use. Learners tap dates, times and hospital names inside realistic SMS messages, then distinguish completed visits from future appointments. I used short English/Kiswahili prompts, bold text, optional device narration and specific retry feedback. A missing-date example teaches learners to ask the clinic instead of guessing from an appointment ID. A new-message task records first-attempt accuracy and hint use. A printable card supports appointment preparation. Testing with intended learners and independent Kiswahili review are still pending.
